I'm Vince Barras, a Brisbane-based operations consultant.
I spent years on the tools before moving into business systems. I've worked as a mechanic, in building materials, HVAC, and offshore oil and gas in field service and subsea completions. I've run a retail business, done the bookkeeping cert, and spent more hours than I'd like to admit unfucking broken software setups.
That background means I understand how service businesses actually work — not just the theory, but the 6am starts, the customers who call at 5pm Friday, and the invoices that somehow never get sent.
